22/23 PRE-SEASON

Resounding victory to close the pre-season

Morata's hat-trick and a Cunha goal seal a 0-4 win over Juventus in Turin.

An unbeatable way to end the pre-season for Diego Pablo Simeone's men. After the change of venue for the last match before the start of the 2022/23 season, which took place in Turin behind closed doors, the red and whites dominated from start to finish by a clear 0-4 scoreline.

The attacking duo of João Félix and Álvaro Morata opened the scoring after just 10 minutes. An excellent assist from the Portuguese star between the lines allowed our striker to finish as it came to him to beat Szczesny. It was the former who could have increased the lead, but he missed a penalty in the 39th minute after a handball by Alex Sandro. However, four minutes later, Morata scored again to make it 0-2 in true "I'll take it myself, I'll eat it myself" style. He set up the goal himself, recovering on the wing and cutting back to Danilo on the edge of the six-yard box to beat Szczesny again.

In the second half, the Spanish striker scored a hat trick, finishing Thomas Lemar's free-kick that was poisoned in the area and he only had to get his head to make it 3-0. Finally, the icing on the cake came from Brazilian Matheus Cunha, who flicked in Kondogbia's cross from the edge of the box to bring Simeone's side's magnificent pre-season to an end, winning all four of their games before the curtain goes up on the 2022/23 season.
