Real Madrid, our opponents in the Copa del Rey Round of 16
We will play against the white team between 16 and 18 January 2024 at the Cívitas Metropolitano.
After eliminating Lugo in the Round of 32 by 1-3, thanks to goals from Correa and Memphis twice, we will face Real Madrid in the next round of the Copa del Rey.
The draw, which took place on the afternoon of Monday 8 January at the Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas, has given us a new derby in the tournament.
The last previous meeting between the two clubs in the round of 16 came in 2015, when the knockout rounds were still played over two legs. In the first leg, at the Santiago Bernabeu, the result was 2-2 with Fernando Torres scoring twice. The second leg was decided by a 2-0 win with goals from Raúl García from 11 yards and Giménez.
