The match began with an Athletic which sought to carry the weight of the game. As a result of the good start of the visiting team, San José had the first chance of the match with a header after a corner, which missed the goal. However, our team recovered as time went by and ended up controlling the match. That is how Raúl García crashed a long-range shot on the side of the net and, minutes later, a header by the same attacker from Navarra was hardly saved by Herrerín. Close to half time, the Calderón called a penalty on Fernando Torres who, despite everything, got to shoot on goal.
In the second half, our team came out determined to control the game in order to look for the goal. And they found it twice in two separate occasions with shots by Griezmann and Tiago, but the Aragonese collegiate Jaime Latre disallowed them due to supposed offsides. Athletic enjoyed a great occasion by Etxeita after a corner that narrowly went high over the crossbar. The French Griezmann, after a great play by Siqueira on the left wing, saw how Herrerín got out a spectacular hand to stop his shot. During added time, and with all our team dedicated to win, Miranda shot a volley over the crossbar.
