The defensive solidity of Atlético remains as the Championship progresses. Once the 27th round has been played, the numbers put our team as the least scored in the First Division and our goalkeeper, Jan Oblak, as the current ‘Zamora’ of the major European leagues.

Although the Slovenian is tied with Manuel Neuer (both have conceded eleven goals), the goalkeeper of Bayern Munich has conceded them in 23 matches, i.e., four less than Oblak. In the same number of matches played, our team has for four less goals conceded than Juventus, leader of the Italian Serie A (Buffon has conceded 14 in 26 games), and ten less than the less scored team in the Premier League, Tottenham (Lloris has conceded 19 goals in 25 matches). In France, PSG has conceded 15 goals in 28 matches.

The statistics support the work of our coaching staff, led by Diego Pablo Simeone. A work that begins with the pressure made by the forwards and that ends in the excellent season being played by Jan Oblak.
