Moyá: "In Atlético we all go hand in hand and what’s important is the team"
Miguel Ángel Moyá answered the media at the end of Thursday’s training. He emphasised the high level of the team and that play is going to be a challenge for everyone.
Atlético’s goalkeeper said about the fight against Barcelona and Real Madrid, "we know how complicated it is with two teams like Real Madrid and Barcelona. They are probably the two strongest in the League and probably in Europe, but have shown in these last two years that we can face up to them."
Regarding the competition with Oblak for a place as a starter, he said that "there is a very good competition in all positions. It will be a challenge both for me and for the rest of the teammates. Because in this club, competition is present every day, in every workout. Something true about Atlético de Madrid is that we all go hand in hand, along the same road and we know that what’s important is the team."
As to whether the aim is to improve what was done last season, the goalkeeper said that "there is always room for improvement, unless you win the treble. We were third last year. That doesn't mean it’s not good enough. We want to compete for everything and that means that we will go out to win in every game.”
