The Atletico striker has undergone medical tests to learn the extent of the injury sustained in the league match against Real Sociedad.
Shortly after the first goal of the game, David Villa was forced to leave the field through injury. In the 41st minute he was replaced by Raul Garcia who took his place on the pitch.
After undergoing tests at the FREMAP Majadahonda hospital, the medical report explains that the player has a hamstring injury grade I (elongation/strain without breaking) of the biceps femoris muscle of the back of the left thigh. Pending developments.
