Mario Suárez receives medical clearance and rejoins the group work

De Gea and Filipe do alternative work

Mario Suárez received medical clearance after a couple of weeks absent from the group work. The central midfielder has recovered from the injury that he suffered a few weeks ago and worked at the same rhythm as his teammates. Also returning to the group work was Jorge Pulido. The defender has recovered from his sprained ankle and trained without problems under the orders of Quique Sánchez Flores.

For his part, De Gea rejoined the ‘rojiblanco’ camp, although he didn’t train at the same pace as his teammates due to the muscle strain which prevented him from playing with the Spanish Under-21s. Centre-half Domínguez also joined the group after playing in the friendly match against Denmark. Ujfalusi also returned to Majadahonda after spending time in his native Czech Republic to pick up the award as third-best player in his country. As regards Filipe Luis, he did alternative work apart from the group. He began with the Club physical therapists and then headed to the gym with Óscar Pitillas.

The session, which was held behind closed doors, lasted almost two hours, and began with possession games. Afterwards, the footballers did odd-numbered defending-attacking drills. To finish, they played a practice match on a pitch of reduced dimensions.
