The time for Nikola Kalinic’ official presentation at the auditorium in the Wanda Metropolitano has come. The Croat was welcomed as our new number ‘9' by club president Enrique Cerezo.
"Kalinic is a talented forward, who has shown in the Italian league that he's a great player," Cerezo said. "We're sure you're going to give it your all here. Welcome to your new home and team."
Kalinic thanked the president for his kind words and spoke about what it means to join our club.
"I'm going to give it my all for the team," Kalinic said. "I've been following Atlético for a while and I'm excited to fight for my spot."
Kalinic made his unofficial debut for our club in our preseason friendly against Inter Milan at the Wanda Metropolitano. He could play his first official match on Wednesday, as our team will try to win the UEFA Super Cup
"I felt good in my first match in this magnificent stadium," he said. "We're going to give it our all on Wednesday and I hope we win,"
Welcome to Atlético, Nikola!
