Griezmann, best League player of January for LFP
Antoine Griezmann has been chosen by the LFP as the League’s best player for the month of January.
Atlético’s forward, Antoine Griezmann, has been named the best League player of the past month of January by the Professional Football League. The great performances that the Frenchman has performed with Simeone's team led him to receive this honour.
Griezmann started the year as he ended it, scoring. He said goodbye to 2014 with a hat trick in San Mamés against Athletic, he began the year with a double against Levante on the 3rd of Jaunuary at the Vicente Calderón. His second double was also at home against Rayo Vallecano, to end January with his fifth goal in Ipurúa against Eibar.
The French forward is Atlético de Madrid's top scorer in the League with 11 goals, one more than his attacking partner Mandžukić. Both of them, along with the addition of Fernando Torres in this winter’s market, make the League champion’s attack a nightmare for opposing defenders.
