The Uruguayan centre-back was in charge of answering the media in the preview of the Champions League match against FC Barcelona. Godín was happy for being medically discharged this morning and fully available for Simeone. "The truth is that I worked hard to be able to recover as soon as possible and well, which was key, and I'm completely recovered, one hundred per cent, and I am available for the coach to play tomorrow’s match," he said.

"We have a very tough, very difficult, and very competitive knockout round, but we will give our best to stay in the Champions League.

Godin is quite clear; tomorrow’s match is the most important in the future of the qualifying round. "We know that the decisive match is tomorrow's, we know the importance of tomorrow’s ninety minutes for the future of the knockout round and for how we play the game at the Calderón, but we content with a tie, we only come to play our game and try to score goals, and if we can win, much better. We expect the best Barcelona," he said.
