He made his debut in January of 2004 in a Cup game at the Sanchez Pizjuán Stadium, with Simeone and Germán Burgos in the starting eleven. Now, 12 years later, both manage him from the bench and he has played 300 matches as an Atlético.

He shared a dressing room with Diego Pablo Simeone and Germán Burgos, the current first and second coaches. Now, Gabi counts on them on the bench and is actively participating in one of the most glorious stages of the club. His record includes a League, a King’s Cup, a Europa League, a UEFA Super Cup and a Spanish Super Cup. A record list that is not finished because Gabi will still be around for a while.
