The Atlético expedition left the Vicente Calderon Stadium after 8 in the evening. Thousands of Atlético fans escorted the Champions’ bus throughout the itinerary. Scarves and flags dyed the streets of Madrid of red and white with thousands of Atlético followers, many young people and children, who didn’t stop cheering and waving their scarves as the players passed by.

A good atmosphere reigned on the bus of a team of players who didn’t stop waving to people, shouting out and waving their scarves to cheer all the fans who decided to join the team in the celebration of the tenth Spanish League.

The bus has headed for the Paseo de Recoletos to reach Neptuno around 9 in the evening. The anthem of the Club welcomed the players to a devoted audience who exploded in cheers on arrival of the bus.

Minutes later, the players walked one by one, from Courtois to Gabi, until the whole team was on the main stage of Neptuno’s fountain. Costa, Courtois and one of the main authors of the success, Diego Pablo Simeone, were the most acclaimed by an audience that gave their all throughout the entire celebration.

Gabi, highly acclaimed, dedicated a few words, visibly excited. He stressed, "He had no words to describe what he felt" and that being there "Was an honour". Furthermore, he wanted to point out that to be in Neptuno was "An award for the work and sacrifice" but most of all it was "For the love of the colours that can’t be bought ", he concluded.

Simeone also wanted to speak. He said that they had achieved something very important, not a simple title. "I would like to thank the players, without their effort this would not be possible. Also, thank the people who accompany us, those who participate and are not seen and make this possible. It’s not only League, it's something much more important. What these players communicate. If you believe and work, you can", he noted.

The celebration was an over the top party. Both players and fans enjoyed Neptuno as ever, dancing, jumping and celebrating non-stop. The most emotional moment was seen as Gabi approached the God Neptune to dress him in red and white.

The party concluded around 10, with thousands of scarves waving in the wind while fans chanted and cheered their players.

Today, more than ever, Madrid was dyed in red and white to celebrate the achievement of the League title.
