Forlán provided the passes for all three goals in Uruguay’s victory over Estonia

Diego Godin sat the game out

Atlético de Madrid forward Diego Forlán again showed the excellent form he’s in. The ‘rjiblanco’ was the star of the show in Uruguay’s victory over Estonia by three goals to nil.  Although he didn’t get on the score sheet, it was his boots which provided the passes for all the goals of the game.   The first came from a Forlán corner which he delivered to the front post, Cácers rose above his rivals to head his team in front. The second came from another corner, this time Raitman finishing with the help of the post. And the third and final goal arrived from from a Forlán pass to Lodeiro who stopped the ball on the edge of the area before firing in to the top corner.  In the 80th minute, Tabárez replaced Forlán with the ‘loco’ Abreu.
The other Atlético player Diego Godin played no part in the game and had to watch from the stands due to his muscle pains.
