COURTOIS, MIRANDA, FILIPE, FALCAO AND SIMEONE IN THE TEAM OF THE YEAR IN SPAIN

Five Atletico players in the league Dream Team on UEFA.com

The good season by Atletico has allowed them to achieve their goals and get the recognition in the world of football. Courtois, Miranda, Filipe and Falcao have been named in the best eleven of the season in Spain according to UEFA.com, the head of which is Simeone.

After the 2012/2013 season, it's time to take stock. The titles won by Athletic (Super Cup and Copa del Rey), in addition to the direct qualification for next season's UEFA Champions League, has also seen individual recognition, firstly in the Zamora which Courtois won, and now four players have made the Dream Team for the Spanish league on UEFA.com, along with coach Diego Pablo Simeone.

In goals in the best team in the League, Thibaut Courtois. The Belgian won the Zamora and has shown that progression knows no limits. He arrived at the Manzanares being a promise and is already a reality. He has conceded 29 goals in 37 games and became the heir to Molina, the last Atletico goalkeeper to conced the fewest goals in the league. Furthermore, his performance in the Copa del Rey final was fundamental for Gabi lifting the trophy in the box at the Bernabeu.

Along the back line, Joao Miranda the Brazilian who is usually partnered by Diego Godin also made the eleven thanks to their passing game and speed across the pitch. Their good work has been one key to Atletico finishing third with the fewest goals conceded in the First Division, thus benefiting from the work of the whole team and Simeone’s tactics.

Also in the back for as Miranda, at left back, Filipe Luis. The Brazilian has combined defensive security with being a constant threat to opposing defenses with his regular appearances down the line. Scolari has awarded him for his work, calling him up for the Confederations Cup with Brazil, showing that the Atletico number 3 is one of the best left backs in football today.

The last player on the team is Radamel Falcao. The Colombian striker has dazzled the whole fotballing world with his performances every time he wore the red and white shirt with 28 goals and was named best striker of the year in Spain. The number 9 was among the candidates for the Golden Ball and continues to accumulate awards for his individual contribution.

They were joined by Carlos Martinez, Sergio Ramos, Iniesta, Isco, Griezmanm, Ronaldo and Messi, who complete the eleven, lead by Diego Pablo Simeone. The Argentine has led Atletico to glory in his year and a half in the club but his ambition led him to not settle for what has been achieved so far. For now, UEFA.com has recognized him as the Coach of the Year.
