Fernando Torres has reached this Sunday his 300th official match wearing the shirt of Atlético de Madrid. At the age of 11, Torres arrived to the lower ranks of the club. In May 2001, he made his official debut with the red and white shirt against Leganés. It would be at the Carlos Belmonte against Albacete when Atlético’s striker scored his first goal for Atlético. A great header that gave three points to the red and white team.

Our forward has played a total of 214 matches in the First Division, 40 in the Second Division, 31 in the King’s Cup, 10 in the Champions League and 5 in the Intertoto Cup. In these 300 matches, Fernando Torres has managed to score 101 goals, which have placed him among the ten forward who have scored more goals with the shirt of Atlético de Madrid.
