Diego Forlán rejoins the group work on Friday after playing in the Chile-Uruguay match

The team holds a session in the woods and in the gym

The Atlético de Madrid first squad trained for an hour at the Majadahonda sports complex with a regenerative session, with the biggest news being the return of Diego Forlán to the team after having played with Uruguay against Chile on Wednesday night. The Uruguayan striker took part in a session that saw the group divided in two for Friday’s training.

The ‘rojiblanco’ squad did aerobic work on Friday. On the one hand players worked out in the gym, while on the other the rest did the same in the woods next to the Sports Complex. All of them finished up the session in the gym.

The good news for Quique Sánchez Flores is that the infirmary has been left without patients. The only one left is Borja González, who is very close to being able to train with the group, after Sergio Asenjo and Godín received medical clearance this very week, and Agüero recovered from the pain that kept him from finishing last Sunday’s match against Osasuna.
