Diego Costa: "We came out and were switched on from the off"

  

He fought hard and put the home side under pressure and deserved to score the second goal of the night for Atletico Madrid. The Brazilian was one of the players who attended the media in the mixed zone. He said that "we were good, we pressed well and it was a good win."

The Atletico striker said that "we came to make a big effort after the defeat against Rubin we were angry. We worked well and we won the game. This is the dynamic that we must follow".
 

He recognised that "I wanted to play again, to be with the team. Especially being in Valladolid, where I had a great time and left many friends. We came out switched on and got a goal very early and once we went in front it was hard to beat us."

He also stated that "we have to be self-critical. We could not give anything away. To win here we had to work and fight".

Finally, regarding the game Thursday in Moscow "we can win. At home we did not have a great game, we know that. If we do things right we can win there".
