Cristian Rodriguez: "We will do everything to make the impossible to happen"
The Atletico midfielder knows the difficulty of getting a result that will neutralize the advantage that Rubin Kazan have from their trip to the Calderon, but hopes to turn the tie around.
Cristian Rodriguez acknowledged that the result the team takes in to the tie against Rubin Kazan is very bad, but the Uruguayan is confident that they can turn it around. "The main thing now is that this is a final [referring to the game against Rubin] we know that it will be very hard. We had a very bad result. During the week we’ve worked hard, we know what's this game is going to be like and hopefully we can get a good result".
The Atletico midfielder acknowledges that "We are the champions or the competition but this will count for nothing, we to prove it on the field and give our all. We know that the field is not like we are used to playing. We will do everything we can to make the impossible to happen", he said.
"We are definitely looking forward to revenge. We did not expect such a result in the first leg: we did not deserve it. We had a very bad first half, we talked and now we are better prepared and have no choice but to win and progress", said the Uruguayan.
