Costa in the Champions League squad for the first time and Miranda returns to the group
The Spanish-Brazilian is in the squad of 22 after serving his ban running over from last year’s Europa League.
Atletico Madrid travel to Vienna on Monday ahead of Tuesday’s game at 20.45 against Austria Vienna - the third round game of Group G in the UEFA Champions League, played in the Ernst Happel stadium, the scene of Spain’s Euro 2008 victory.
The team trained on Sunday in the Majadahonda Sports City, a session designed on on one hand for the recovery of the players who played in the match against Espanyol at Cornella-El Prat and activation for other players with a view to the Champions League in the Austrian capital.
Simeone offered a list of 22 players at the completion of training. Diego Costa is in the group after having served his ban. Joao Miranda has also recovered after missing the game against Espanyol.
