Axel Werner to join Málaga on loan

Atlético de Madrid and Málaga have reached an agreement for the loan of Axel Werner until the end of the season. The Argentine goalkeeper, who played the first half of the season on loan at Huesca, will finish the season at Málaga.
The goalkeeper joined our club back in the 2016 summer transfer window. After playing on loan at Boca Juniors in the 2016/2017 season, the Argentine was a part of our first team squad the next season, and ended up playing three matches (two in the Europa League and one in LaLiga) and won the Europa League.
In the current season, the goalkeeper has made eight appearances for Huesca (six in LaLiga and two in the Copa del Rey). Now he faces a new challenge in one of the teams that aspire to ascend to the Spanish First Division.
