Augusto suffers a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament of his left knee
Atlético’s midfielder underwent radiological tests last Sunday morning, which confirmed the injury to his left knee.
The tests Augusto Fernández underwent last Sunday in Majadahonda’s FREMAP Hospital, have confirmed our player’s injury. After the tests, the medical report confirms that Atlético’s midfielder suffers "a partial tear of the medial collateral ligament of his left knee." The Argentinian player will be on athletic rest, and do rehabilitation and physiotherapy treatment, pending the evolution of his injury.
The Argentinian had to be substituted on 75 minutes of the game against Barcelona, when he was injured trying to retrieve a ball in the centre of the field. Augusto was taken off the Camp Nou field on a stretcher and Thomas replaced him immediately.
