Atlético train for an hour at BayArena
The players got to know the pitch on which they’ll face Bayer
The first squad trained for a little over an hour on Bayer Leverkusen’s home pitch. The ‘rojiblanco’ players were able to get to know firsthand the field on which they’ll take on the German side on Thursday at 7 pm. It’s a small stadium, but very practical, with a capacity for about 30,000 spectators.
As has become usual, the goalkeepers worked apart from the group with goalkeeping coach Emilio Álvarez. The rest of the squad began the session with the physical trainer, Jordi García. Afterwards, Quique Sánchez Flores took the reins of the practice.
It should be recalled that 19 players travelled to Germany for the match against Bayer Leverkusen. The squad list is formed by:
