Atlético thumped Hospitalet
Atlético de Madrid won Hospitalet with clarity in the first leg match of the round of 32 of King’s Cup. Griezmann, Gabi from a penalty, and Cristian Rodríguez scored the goals in the triumph.

Atlético de Madrid, with a very different eleven to the one that played in the League last Sunday, took the field of Hospitalet with their minds set on scoring and control the match from the beginning. Cerci and Gabi were the first to test Oliver, who had to clear their shots. Cerci created the best chance in the 18th minute for Raúl Jiménez to head at the crossbar. The two latter shots by Cerci and Cristian Rodríguez brushed the posts.
Simeone allowed Griezmann to enter in the interval and Atlético de Madrid began to siege the Catalan goal. The Frenchman warned with a cross that crashed into the crossbar at the start of the second half. On minute 67, it was Griezmann who scored with an accurate header after a measured cross by Jesús Gámez. The final blow came from a breakaway of Cerci which ended in a penalty and which Gabi transformed into a goal. To finish, Cristian Rodríguez scored with a long kick that rocketed into the goal of L'Hospitalet.
