Atleti grab a great result against Sporting CP in the Wanda Metropolitano

Our side got a great win against Sporting CP in the Wanda Metropolitano. Koke scored in the 22nd second and Antoine Griezmann doubled our lead in the 40th minute.

The game started off intensely and our lads had great chances throughout the match. Just a few moments after Koke scored the first, Rui Patrício made a great save to deny Diego Godín.

Sporting created chances from the wings, but both our defense and Jan Oblak were in top shape and defended well. In the second half, Kevin Gameiro, Thomas and Vitolo came on to change things up for our team. Gameiro caused trouble for Sporting CP's defense, but didn't have many concrete chances.

In the final minutes of the match, our lads kept looking for the third, but the Portuguese side defended well and kept the score at 2-0.
