Atleti draw at home against Girona
Antoine Griezmann scored Atleti's goal in the first half, but Girona equalized late in the second half.
Atlético de Madrid drew against Girona in the Wanda Metropolitano. The 'rojiblancos' created numerous chances, but great goalkeeping by Girona kept the Catalan side alive in the match.
Atleti finally broke the deadlock in the 34th minute, after a great team play. Thomas found Diego Costa who left it for the Frenchman.
Our side kept on creating chances, but couldn't finalize and Girona ended up scoring the equalizer in the 73rd minute.
Atleti's next match will be on Tuesday against Sevilla for the second leg of the Copa del Rey quarter-finals.
