Thank you, thank you. A thousand times, thank you. Atlético’s community has thrown itself in the celebration of Simeone’s renewal until 2020. The contest set up on the Club’s Facebook page thanks to Plus500 has received thousands of entries from around the world.

The decision has been very difficult, but we already have a winner. Congratulations Paula Marín! We'll send the shirt signed by Simeone to your home. Here is the text she sent us.

"There are no words, only the heart speaks. And all that a real Atlético heart asks for is for the person who trains Atlético de Madrid to share the love for the Club. Diego Pablo Simeone is one of ours.

I am 21 years old, I am of Atleti since I can remember thanks to my father, and it thrills me to watch this team. I love the way they play because they express on the field the spirit of the Club and that is something that Cholo has achieved. He has made it possible for my generation to enjoy successes, to enjoy devoted players, to enjoy feelings... which, in the end and after all, is what it’s all about. That is what life is about, feelings, principles, energy... 'If you believe and you works, you can'.

Listening to Cholo talk about Atleti is like hearing any fan at a press conference. He represents us. He embodies all our feelings. Seeing him at the bench wanting to go out on the field wearing our shirt... Seeing that when things go wrong it is him who looks at the stands and tells us: 'Come on boys, let’s hear those throats, we need you down here!!...”

I've never seen anyone achieve what this coach has achieved. He has managed to create a group of players who understand the Club’s philosophy, using tons of courage and heart.
