Antonio López enters the list for the injured Forlán to travel to Barcelona
The Uruguayan suffered a periostitis in his left leg
Atlético de Madrid held its final training where Atlético B usually plays with a session that was open to the media for the first half hour. Before taking the pitch, Quique Sánchez Flores had the players watch a 30 minute video of Espanyol.
The team did a warm-up and then moved into 10v10 ball possession drills, without goalkeepers, while De Gea and Joel did specific work with Emilio Álvarez. The practice lasted around an hour and a half. Forlán was the big absence due to periostitis in his left leg that will keep him off the matchday roster. Alberto Perea didn’t train with the first squad, as he worked with Atlético B, although Borja González and Pulido did.
Included on the matchday list was Antonio López, for Forlán, while Valera and Fran Mérida were dropped through coach’s decision.
