Agreement with Villarreal for the loan of Cani

Atlético de Madrid and Villarreal have reached an agreement for the loan of Rubén Gracia Calmache, Cani, until the end of the season. The Aragonese midfielder, born in Zaragoza on the 3rd of August 1981, passed the corresponding medical examination and has signed with our organisation for the rest of the season.

Cani, trained in the ranks of Real Zaragoza and who made his debut with their first team first team during the 2001-02 season, is a right wing player with exquisite quality, a great shot and an excellent assist to his teammates on the attack. After four seasons with Zaragoza’s first team, where he won the King's Cup and Super Cup of 2004, Villarreal attained his services in 2006. With them, he played for eight and a half seasons showing great quality in 309 official matches he played and in which he scored 33 goals.
