2015 has been the second best red and white year in the League
The year we leave behind, 2015, has been a good year for our team. We have achieved 32 wins in the 55 matches played and won 81 points in the League.
The year started and ended in the same way for Atlético de Madrid: with a win. The team began the year 2015 against Levante at the Calderón (3-1) and finished it with a 2-0 win against Rayo Vallecano. In total, 55 games played with a balance of 32 wins, 12 ties and 11 defeats. It is noteworthy that more than half of the matches (30) ended without the team conceding a goal.
Those numbers translate into the second best calendar year of our team in the League. Simeone's players have added 81 points in the domestic championship, only one less than in 2013, when we were League champions and won a total of 82 points.
But it is time to reset the score to zero again and focus on the new year which now begins. We want 2016 to also be a historic year for the Club. As in 2015, our first match will be against Levante at the Vicente Calderón on Saturday, the 2nd of January.
