The match between Rostov and Bayern, which finished before our game kicked off, made things very clear for our team. A win or a tie made Atlético group leader without having to wait to the last week. And Simeone’s team dominated in the first half although they couldn’t convert the scoring chances.

But in the second half the goals came. Gameiro opened the score and he was followed by his countryman Griezmann. Two good goals to win the fifth victory in as many matches of the Group Stage. It is the first time that our team has such a successful beginning in the Champions League. And it served to advance to the last 16 as group leaders with a week to go, in Munich against Bayern next 6th December.
