We start a new edition of the King’s Cup against Guijuelo
Today, we play the first leg match of the round of 32 of the King’s Cup. It will be played at Salamanca’s Helmántico stadium at 21:00.
Our team begins its journey in the 16/17 King’s Cup by playing the round of 32 against Sports Club Guijuelo. The first leg match will be played in the historical Helmántico stadium. Guijuelo has decided to move the venue of the match to the field in Salamanca with more capacity than its own to be able to seat the most possible fans.
Our team comes from winning two consecutive matches. One in the Champions League and another one in the League. In the European tournament, against PSV, the match ended in 2-0and against Osasuna, the win was by 3-0. Simeone analysed tomorrow’s match in press conference and noted: "Historically, the King’s Cup has always been a very dear competition for the club."
