On 31 December in the Wanda Metropolitano, Vitolo was officially presented as an Atlético de Madrid player. He will wear the number 23.
“I want to thank the president, Enrique Cerezo, and Miguel Ángel Gil for insisting on bringing me to this club,” Vitolo said. “The truth is that I’m proud to join a team as big as Atlético, one of the best in Europe.”
Club President Enrique Cerezo was present and said he was delighted to officially welcome Vitolo to the club.
"Dear Vitolo, today you're going to begin a new journey in your professional career," Cerezo said. "Vitolo, welcome to your home and welcome to Atlético de Madrid."
The 28 year old is a Spain international and this will be his first time defending Atlético de Madrid's colours.
