Villa, Koke and Mario started in the Spanish victory in Helsinki

The Atletico youth played his first official match with the national team, David Villa Mario Suarez also started the game. Del Bosque’s men won by 0-2 with goals from Jordi Alba and Negredo.

Three Atletico players were in the starting line up for the Spanish national side in the important game in Helsinki in the vital 0-2 win against Finland. Koke and Mario Suarez, who, after making his debut in a friendly match, made his first official start playing as the defensive midfielder demonstrating the great form he’s been shown in this early season with Atletico Madrid. David Villa came close to scoring but his effort went just wide in the 54th minute. He was later replaced by Jesus Navas.

Spain picked up all three points with goals from Jordi Alba (19') and Alvaro Negredo (85') and only need four points to mathematically secure qualification for the World Cup in Brazil next year.
