Torres: "Adding points was important to bring us closer to our objective"

Fernando Torres attended Canal + after our team’s win against Villarreal (0-1). The red and white striker stressed the importance of the victory: "Adding points is important to bring us closer to our objective. I think it has been a tight match. It could have gone to either one, there were few occasions and in the end you cannot say that these three points are unfair. Maybe it was when they saw victory closer and they attacked with more people. It seems that we have been lucky in that unfortunate play for them. The defender has been reckless, I've been able to get the tip in and from there, to suffer."
Regarding the importance of goal, Torres assured that at a personal level it is "the same as for the team: bring us closer to the objective. We know that for us, for the year coming, and for the Club it is essential to be in the Champions League and the sooner we begin to add points and reach that goal, the better it will be for everyone."
