Atlético de Madrid decided the match against Betis in the final stretch of the first half. Up to that moment, the biggest problem for Betis’ goalkeeper had only been a header from Koke which crashed into crossbar 10 minutes into the game. But in five minutes, from 36’ to 41’, Torres and Griezmann knocked out the Andalucian team. Adán even had to save a couple more finishes from the two scorers in the final minutes of the first half.

After the half-time, the greatest danger of Betis was at the feet Westermann but Oblak and the post avoided the goal. Juanfran was responsible for closing the match with a great goal after a great pass from Corre. The Argentinian played the last half hour and showed his class with the assist of Juanfran’s goal and several more passes to the gap, like one to Thomas that the Ghanaian crashed on the post and one to Griezmann which won the 4-1. In the added time, Griezmann rounded off his match with an assist to Thomas to score the final 5-1.
