The ‘rojiblancos’ continue preparing for their league match against Espanyol

Alberto Perea and Borja don’t train with their teammates

Atlético de Madrid continue with their training and with their sights set on this Saturday’s fixture against Espanyol. Therefore, the ‘rojiblanco’ players practiced for just over an hour-and-a-half at the facilities in Majadahonda. Almost the full squad trained under the orders of Quique Sánchez Flores. The only ones missing the session were Alberto Perea and Borja González.

Alberto Perea has a 1st Degree medial collateral ligament sprain and did work with the team physiotherapists. For his part, Borja, in spite of being given medical clearance on Tuesday the 23rd, did alternative work apart from the group with Óscar Pitillas, the Club physical trainer/therapist. To begin, the goalkeepers completed specific work with Emilio Álvarez, the goalkeeper coach, while the rest of the group did physical exercises at the orders of Jordi García.

Subsequently, Quique Sánchez Flores took the reins of the training and paid close attention to his players during the rest of the session. The manager made two teams and played a practice game on a small-sided pitch. The coach made changes in the team and was thus able to have a look at six different line-ups that played against teams formed by other members of the team.
