The Prince of Asturias receives Atletico Madrid
HRH Prince Filipe received Atletico Madrid in the Palacio de la Zarzuela to recognie their important work on behalf of the sport, tying it in with the celebration this year's celebration of the 110th anniversary of the Club.
This Friday September 20th was a special day for Atletico Madrid Foundation. His Royal Highness Prince Filipe received a large representation from the club in the Zarzuela Palace.
Enrique Cerezo was accompanied by Captains Gabi, Tiago, Raul Garcia and Juanfran, internationals Mario Suarez, Koke and David Villa. Lázaro Albarracin (director and vice president Social Area), Adelard Rodriguez (President of the Atletico Madrid Foundation) and Germán Robles (director of the Atletico Madrid Foundation).
The Atleti Foundation was recognized for the work by His Royal Highness the Prince of Asturias, marking the 110th anniversary of Atletico. Enrique Cerezo presented a sculpture by Victor Ochoa along with a replica of the five trophies won in recent years.
Upon receipt, Enrique Cerezo said that "we are very happy to be. We have come to recognise the Prince for everything he does for the sport." He went on "Today the Prince is Atletico and is happy with the team's progress . Our Foundation has had the great idea to recognise his contribution to the sport with a 'A Team For The World' award".
