Atlético de Kolkata had at stake the first leg of the semifinals at home against Goa, an opponent which made things complicated from minute one. With an injured Friku, Antonio López bet on M. Rafi and Luís García. The tension of the final stage showed in every play, being a tough match, full of long balls that almost never found the Atlético forwards.
After the half-time, came the best minutes for Kolkata, Luís García took the baton for the home team and had two of the best scoring opportunities of the match, but had no luck in scoring.
The match ended with a scoreless tie, leaving everything open for the return leg next Wednesday, the 17th of December at 14:30 (CET) at Goa’s Stadium.
