The RFEF has issued an official statement expressing the striker has signed a letter informing that he wants to play with the Spanish national team.
The Royal Spanish Football Federation has announced that our player Diego Costa has this morning signed a written request expressing his desire to play for the Spanish national team. The statement from th RFEF reads, "the striker communicates in said letter to Mr. Julio Cesar Avelleda, secretary general of the Confederation Brasileira de Futebol (CBF ) his desire to be available to the Spanish national coach Vicente del Bosque, from now."
"If so, Diego Costa will be available to play Spain in the next games in the month of November, if deemed appropriate by the national coach," concludes the statement quoted by the Federation.
