Atlético de Madrid has reached an agreement with Inter Milan for the transfer of Joao Miranda to the Italian entity. The Brazilian defender successfully underwent the corresponding medical tests and signed his new contract with the neroazzurro club.
Miranda arrived to our Club in the 2011-12 season, conquering in that first campaign the UEFA Europa League against Athletic Club in Bucharest (3-0). In the following campaign, he contributed to the conquest of the UEFA Super Cup against Chelsea in Monaco (4-1) and would enter the red and white history by achieving the goal that gave us the title of the King’s Cup against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu (1-2). His header to a pass from Koke will be forever etched in the memory of all the Atléticos. In the 13-14 season, the canarinho continued accumulating successes with the win of the League and playing the final of the Champions League. And last season he completed his track record with Atlético by lifting the Spanish Super Cup against Real Madrid.
Joao Miranda now starts a new stage in his career for which we wish him the best of luck from Atlético de Madrid.
