Simeone: "We should have won the match but we get a point"
Diego Pablo Simeone, Atlético’s coach, was displeased with the tie against Athletic and said that the team was better in the second half and should have won.
Regarding the controversial plays, our coach said that "you are the best ones to look at these kind of situations. The result does not change. The first half was even, where we both had chances, and in the second half, we played very well. We could have won the match, we should have won the match but we get a point."
He also noted about the end of season that "I think when the League is coming to an end, time drags on all of us who compete for important goals, relegations, the Champions, the Europa League and the League. Regarding if he liked Mandžukić’s minutes, he stated that "I liked the work he did. He played two or three important balls. He made us play more in the opponent’s half.
