Simeone: "We're going to play with the same enthusiasm as always"
Our coach and captain, Gabi Fernández, spoke to the press about Thursday's match against Lokomotiv Moscow.
Our team is in Moscow for Thursday's Europa League Round of 32 return leg clash against Lokomotiv Moscow. Diego Pablo Simeone and Gabi spoke to the press in the RZD Arena to analyze the match.
"Everyone who's in the squad has the leadership to keep on fighting," Gabi said. "Our team always competes the same way and all of us are ready."
We won 3-0 in the first leg in the Wanda Metropolitano and our captain is proud of our squad.
"I'm very happy with the players we have in our group," our captain continued.
Simeone is ready for a great night of football in Lokomotiv's RZD Arena.
"Cup matches are always complicated and we're going to play with the same enthusiasm as always. We'll have to be prepared for the atmosphere [in the RZD Arena] and the cold in order to seize control of the match," he said. "All the matches we play are important for me."
Our coach is convinced our team will play with the same intensity as last week.
"We're only thinking about advancing and growing as a club," Simeone continued. "The only thing that counts for us it to advance to the next round."
