Simeone: “We made a big effort, there are positives to take from today’s game”
Our coach and Giménez spoke after our 0-0 draw against Celta.
Simeone claimed there were positive aspects from Saturday’s game against Celta despite the 0-0 draw.
"We made a big effort on Wednesday and today we improved as the game progressed. I think the first half was evenly matched, whereas we tried everything we could to score in the second half. We weren’t able to do so in the end. Celta defended very well. Nonetheless, there are a lot of positives to take from today’s game,” the Argentine said.
Giménez praised his teammates for the performance.
“We did everything we could to get the win until the last minute. They played very well and we tried to attack them. It wasn’t easy because we played two days ago. I'm proud of the work everyone's putting in," our defender said.
