Simeone: "We have to stay calm and keep working"
Our coach, Juanfran and Thomas spoke following Sunday's 1-0 defeat in Seville.
Simeone on Sunday praised Betis following their 1-0 win against our team.
"Betis are one of the best teams in LaLiga, they're in the Copa del Rey semi-finals and they play great football. They scored their penalty and deserved to win," the Argentine said.
Despite the result, our coach was happy with Morata's debut.
"Morata played very well, with great enthusiasm. We hope he can score soon. We have to stay calm and keep working," Simeone said.
Juanfran claimed that the team weren't happy not to have decreased the lead of league leaders Barcelona.
"We could have decreased their lead and we didn't do it. We're not happy with the result, but we have to think about next week's result. We never give up," our defender said.
Thomas Partey was disappointed with the result, but urged our team to look towards the future.
"We always want to win. This will make us stronger. We will keep working, there are many games ahead of us and we have to keep going," our midfielder said.
