Simeone: "We have an impressive group"
Atlético’s coach praised his footballers after the victory in the derby against Real Madrid (4-0).
Diego Pablo Simeone analysed Atlético's victory against Real Madrid in the League derby (4-0). The Argentinian thanked his players for the victory: "I thank the players for the evening they have given us. It was a very good evening where the team played very well and were very overwhelming. We played very seriously and that’s appreciated and people appreciated it."
Simeone stressed the importance of being united in the locker room: "I’m convinced that the most difficult thing about a team is time. We have an impressive group that doesn't settle for anything, that’s daily demanding. You watch the training sessions and you don't know who put to call. This results in what happens on the field. They train as they play and we train like that."
After the triumph, Simeone assured, "we want to compete match by match and we're not going to change because we can't play any other way. We won’t change because it does us no good."
