Simeone: "We are excited with what we’re going"
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke in the press room after the win over Valencia about the merit of the team to "solve the problems of the game" and admitted that the most important thing with his players is the internal competition in each of the positions.
Diego Pablo Simeone made a brief analysis of the game. "The first half Valencia had the ball but did not cause us problems in front of goal. The lines were separated with the four in the middle and the two up top, I chatted at halftime and we looked for more pressure and were more concrete. We knew that Valencia committed a lot of players and with the space we could hurt them.”
Atletico is an ravenous in front of goal and always wants more as the Atletico coach said. "I want to win and I always want more, in all situations. I do not like passively and keep trying to go forward and that is how the team will look to move forward."
Atletico shares the lead with Barcelona at the top, "They’ve been a great team in the last decade with incredible numbers. The first round last year they lost two points. They hare without Messi but continue to win with ease. It is a tough team to follow and have stratospheric numbers." Atleti should be on their way to fight to the end for important things. "We will continue in the game by game approach and based on that we have to think only about the game on Wednesday in the cup and then on Saturday," he admitted.
Finally, Diego Pablo Simeone warned that in the draw for the Champions League, all teams will have the same possibilities. "We know the rival we come up against we will 50 percent chance of winning. Everyone involved at this stage are good but I think there are the same possibilities with any team."
