Simeone: "Villarreal are playing very nice football, it will be a tough match"
The Atletico coach appeared before the media hours before travelling to Castellon to be measured against Villarreal in the game for week thirteenth of the season.
Simeone was delighted that Villarreal are back in the top flight. "I'm glad they’re back in the first division, they are a club I’ve followed a lot in the last decade. They have done well and despite having a bad season, they have recovered fast, it speaks highly of the leaders."
Regarding the Diego Costa and his flu, ha said that he is "better, but we will wait to see how he feels tomorrow and from there take a decision." Simeone brushed off theabsences in defense of Godin and Filipe, because "we have the presence of Toby and Insua, two guys who are training hard and when they have played, they have played very well."
"If I put myself in the place of the coach of Uruguay, I would not be bothered what happened to the other teams. Uruguay needs our players to do well because it is important to be in the World Cup," the Atletico coach stated on the international commitments of Cristian Rodriguez, Godin and Gimenez.
Finally, he reviewed Cup draw, stressing that "there is great enthusiasm in the squad. When you play the first game we will analyze the opponent in all humility and respect that a tournament like the King's Cup deserves," he said.
