"We wanted to settle a match against a tough and competitive rival," he said. "Getafe play with a lot of intensity and all the teams that have played here have had a tough time to go home with the win. We played well in the first half."
Our boss also spoke about Jan Oblak, who once again had a great match.
"His save was tremendous. I'm happy to have him with us," he said. "He struggled at first, was patient and is now one of the best goalkeepers in the world."
In tonight's match, Simeone put out a strong side and once again showed how important finishing second is for our club.
