Diego Pablo Simeone analysed the defeat of Atlético against Villarreal in the Vicente Calderón (0-1). The coach assessed the match at the press conference: "It was an entertaining match with some opportunities for both teams. They finished the match with a great counterattack. It is an important defeat because it had been one year since we lost at home."
Simeone spelled out the causes of the defeat: "There were some mismatches in the last twenty minutes. They made a nice play on the counterattack and we need to give them credit for the goal. We need to congratulate our opponent and prepare for Thursday.'
