Simeone: "The youngsters played really well"
Our boss analyzed our 3-2 loss in Singapore.
Diego Pablo Simeone spoke to the press in Singapore following our 3-2 defeat to PSG.
"It was a beautiful preseason match, Just look at how they celebrated their third goal. It's nice to compete like this. We like it," he said. "In the first half we didn't have much possession, but were very direct with our play and had clear chances."
Our boss also praised our fans in Singapore.
"It doesn't surprise me that the club has doubled the amount of its supporters in Asia because the club is growing and improving."
Simeone was also proud of the youngsters' hard work in Singapore.
"We're a very competitive team and we brought lots of youngsters, but they played well just like they did against Arsenal," he continued. "This is important for the future and and its good for them because they got lots of experience."
Lastly, our boss confirmed more and more players will be joining the squad for our next friendlies.
"On Sunday, 5 August's match Koke, Saúl, Diego Costá and Lemar will be available," he said. "And for our game against Cagliari, Savic, Giménez, Godín, Filipe Luis and Gelson Martins will be available."
